How bad will the Marlboro Gun Show be on Sept 21st/22nd?

Were there a lot of auto knives being sold given the recent switch blade verdict?

How bad were the AR mag prices? Ma**h*** had $70 ones today
I same some auto knives, but lots regular knives.

AR mag prices were all over the place and all way too high. The main mag guy wanted $180 for real Colt AR9 30 rounder mags. I like my AR9 SBR….but not that much!

My favorite was always the guy with " Mass legal, pre ban Pmags"
And hundred dollar Glock mags from Korea

Most of that show is just Cosby rape now vs anything that could be remotely considered illegal. 🤣 Long gone are the days of the $35 new glock mags with the bald guy yelling "f*** Massachusetts!" in direct earshot of the two sleepy ATF agents manning a table full of pamphlets and information. 🤣

It’s a gun show right?

A citizen can show up with an unloaded gun and bring it in to sell it, right?

People would walk around with a sign with a price for the gun they are selling.

Well, can somebody walk in with a cardboard box of rape filled with mags to sell?

I’d like to know this.
Classified section isn't working out huh?

I just don’t have the time.

I have 2 cases of pre ban dated Colt mags in original boxes from the 1970s.

I spend $4,000 a case and I’m looking to triple my money or else I’ll be like Scrooge mc duck swimming in the most valuable pre ban Colt mags ever made with external dates.

I’m thinking $120 per mag or you’ll lose your chance for all eternity.

patience, patience is the key.
i have a very reliable source telling me that in about 63 years and 7 months your investment will be at least quadrupled.
I have about 200 - 300 new pre ban AR mags. Colt, LaBelle, Center, Okay, Sealed in Wrapper. Some 20 Colt 20 rounders.

Been collecting for 30 years.

If Ma**Hole Gun Shop is getting $70 for old used AR mags - how much are new pre bans worth?

I think I'm going to sell my stash.

I'm hoping a dealer will contact me and buy the whole lot.

EDIT:

OMG!!!

Shops on GunBroker are getting $100 + shipping for Colt pre bans.

the only possible way I can see that ever making sense is if someone was trying to save a magazine that someone had somehow or another broken the tabs on the bottom of it.... but even then.... in the real world... adults throw that shit in the trash and get another mag. preeeeban faggotry or not thats a $20 problem

@quinnjalan already answered. I really don't pay much attention to knives. The best prices for beat-up metal 30-rnd AR pre-bans were right around $50 each. Plastic Orlites were 4/$100. The highest I saw was $100 for used metal, but I didn't ask the guy who has the big sign and boxes of wrapped, supposedly refurbed pre-bans (i.e., new followers, new springs). He was always high man in the past, but I think a couple sellers may have beat him this time.

I was only interested in picking up some 20's if the price was right... but at $55 each (lowest price) I passed.

Same guy as the one selling those 20's was selling nasty beat-up 30-rnd pre-ban bodies only for $15 each. I looked. Too beat-up for me to refurb, but I'm sure he sold at least some at that price.

That show has sucked since at least before 2016.
Probably before that. I lived in concord NH and used to go to the gun show at the concord arena. Back in the late 80s, early 90s. A guy there would have a box of parts for $5. No idea what you were getting, but I have used parts from time to time. Another guy had armor piercing. 32acp. I bought 1000 rounds for maybe $.05 a piece. I had always wanted a cz scorpion. I never came across a good one. I still have the ammo. Same guy, I bought a case, I think 100 rounds in the box, armor piercing, incendairy rounds. $1 a piece. Still have thse too. I never opened the box. You'll never see deals or stuff like that again.

I saw the ad, didn't look at the pictures. Figured he was tig welding the tabs back on or something similar. Wasn't expecting the sheet metal screws, not the most aesthetically pleasing. At that point, I would just jb weld the f*** out of it, or buy a new magazine.

$89, I can remember $39 at rileys mid 90s.

My fave was a 1000 round wooden crate of Portuguese 7.62 NATO for $120.

10:12 Sunday morning. No line. People already walking out.
To be fair, if tehre is no crowd, you can get through a Mahl'burrah sized gun show in about 45 min. 70% of your time normally is waiting for someone to get out of your way. I know on crowded days, I'd be in at 9:10 and be out by 11:30.

I did. Same as last year. Line seemed shorter. I’ll sum it up in two pictures for you.

The ammo dealers at mASS gun shows have NEVER been a deal. Well, not in over 20 years. There USED to be deals back when it was all surplus ammo. You'd get cases of 193 for $120 or a case of AK for $89 or a case of 308 surplus for $200-something. The stuff they truck around - even 20+ years ago it wasn't a deal vs. going online.

Primers could be had at a decent price back then, though. I'd not want to know what a box of CCI's go for these days. I think I'd complain if they were more than $12. LOL. I lost my mind when they went to $17. ROFL!!!

Confirmation bias. You remember these one or two items and then assume it was all like that. The reality is that gun shows are full of people trying to make a profit. MEaning 99.999% of the stuff you'll see is crap.

SKS for $89 because there were a million of them. You could buy a Mosin for $40 as well. And spam-cans of Mosin ammo (corrosive) for $30 or something. That doesn't mean that gun shows were a better deal. There was still stupid-priced items all the time. And at the time, we'd have gotten pissed (see CCI above) if that $89 SKS was $95. Would you or I care today if it was 89 or 95? It's all relative. Gun shows are gun shows. There is no good-old-days of them. Unless you lived in Yew-Topia where every seller was looking to make as little as possible per sale.
