It's my observation that thier comparators contact the ogive the same on a given bullet weight the same. I know it's not exact but I recently compared a couple box of bullets and they all measure the same, different designs.. SST's and ELDX. I have a Sinclair that looks like a hex bolt I started with years ago, that I retired.

What comparator seems to work well with all bullets ? I recently found Hollands gold standard comparator... I like it alot. Speeds up comparing quite a bit.

Most definitely there's no end...You always want something better. I try and keep it cheap, but sometimes it's not easy. Getting by on my Hornady comparator for now. If I shot more and components were cheap, I can justify this tool !

I was chaffing at the cost of the higher end comparators and also unwilling to buy the Hornady once I saw it. It seemed cheaply made.

I found this gem on Amazon of all places. It's made by Derrico Engineering, a small machine shop in Australia and this kit is a deal. Quality is exceptional.

If you google the name, you will see rave reviews.

Thanks for posting that. Grabbed a set myself.
