on TV now that he reportedly landed in Moscow

From the looks of if he's gone to Russia also has a plane ticket to Cuba. Idk about flying to Cuba? Maybe, he wants to visit gitmo before being detained or maybe its a decoy plane ticket and he's in Hong Kong still.

Maybe he's afraid of the US policy/willingness/history of openly invading sovereign nations and/or threatening to shoot down civilian aircraft and diverting them to go after high-profile suspects.
I'm sure he got a big wad of cash to disclose some NSA facts to the Chinese, now he's going to Moscow to get another big wad of cash. Then hope he can hide from CIA operatives hunting him down for the next 20 years.

They've revoked his passport, also china says the us was hacking there systems and phone servers. I have a feeling this is going to get ugly. Maybe a downed airliner on the way to Ecuador or USAF escort threatening to down a plane? What's the chances some Russian fighter jets escort his plans to Ecuador?
my girlfriend works for a company that does a lot of business with ecuador. if we suddenly decide that the US and ecuador aren't friends this could suck for her.

Dropping a dime on the NSA for spying on us, no problem. Heading to our two major enemies with classified information not OK. Not sure why that's so hard to understand. If you think that the Chinese and Russians haven't gotten to him you're just not living in the real world.

Have to agree here. If one's truly for liberty, any of the aforementioned destinations wouldn't be a valid choice. Sad that he's gone down the path.
Problem is those are the only country's that will protect him. He used them as protection after feeding information to us because we all know the keyboard commandos won't or wouldn't be able to help him.

At this point I don't care if he does sell the info.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and the US government has become my enemy. The USG has and is spying on me (something enemies do). The USG has listed me as a terrorist, on the same level as Al Queda, all because I believe in limited government.
Any info he now gives out, whether for sale or to the media hurts my enemy.

Count me as a member of that group. I am very glad this crap came to light. Spying on its own citizens. Just despicable.
The thing people need to stop doing is blaming this on Obama. Bush started all this crap. All this capability and know how was created while Dubya was President. BHO just continued its development and use.
If this isn't enough to get people to start supporting the Libertarian Party or libertarian leaning Republicans, I don't know what is.

The only real difference is that this was a knee-jerk reaction to being attacked under Bush, and Obama promised time after time after time to repeal it, then proceeded to sign a re-authorization bill instead.

Its too late. I'm sure Julian Asange already had them. I'm looking forward to their release.
I am confident that you will find that unlike some other leakers, Mr. Snowden is a true patriot. His info will not betray sources or put people at risk.
Unless you think we are actually, on balance, safer with a government who can read your email at will and listen into your phone conversations with nothing higher than an analyst level of approval.
