Well, yesterday was interesting! I walked the three blocks down to the office to drop of a rent check and the whole parking area was blocked with crime scene tape. Talked to one of the officer that
was monitoring the perimeter, and he told me that a body was found early in the morning in the parking lot, shot in the chest.....

Then, late in the afternoon I went over to the local pub for a celebration, because my birthday was Tuesday, but I didn't have any money to celebrate till yesterday. (BTW....Blantons Bourbon is freaking fantastic!)

Walking through the parking lot on the way home, I noticed a "beater" Ford parked in the back next to the dumpster. I went to check it out, and there were three large bullet holes in the hood, and one on the passenger side of the windshield. Then I noticed all the blood in the passenger seat!

So I called the cops gave them the plate, and they arrived pretty damn quick! Several Detectives also showed up, and they were high-fiving each other and happy as hell. Seems this was the car the guy was probably shot in, before they dumped his body down the street. There was also an oil trail into the lot, probably from one of the rounds hitting the engine. They had been looking for the car since yesterday morning.

Then the detectives got really pissed, because they had told the patrol cops yesterday morning to check all the parking lots in the complex (there are 6 of them.) I have a feeling that somebody caught a lot of shit about it this morning.

One of the detectives is an old family friend, he went to high school with one of my daughters, and he served in Iraq with the 74th Infantry (LRS) the same unit I served with in Vietnam. It was pretty cool seeing him, because I hadn't seen him in over 15 years!

He told me he wanted me to come to his place some weekend and meet his wife and new kids. I told him I would enjoy it, and he said, "Ah.... you know you're cooking right? I haven't had good ribs since you had your Smokehouse 20 years ago!"

"Sure" I said, but you have to buy the bottle of Blantons and help me clear out the snakes from the Smokehouse." He just opened his coat to show me his glock, "No sweat, do I need to bring another one of these for you?"[wink]

Police reports of murders are actually quite fun to read when police do a full investigation.

    And @0:55:

You got me worried for a minute, Kim.

I hope you were guarding Linda's door that night.

BTW, thanks for the gift pack you sent me,
I have been waiting on an old friend to get back from Poland to share it with. She has been over taking care of her ailing mother
    (And yes, she is hot!)

    You are welcome!

At some point you will have to decide between Linda (from DNC) and Barbara (from Poland).

Don't ask Kim! Ask Linda. Since she got the password she signed him up for "Smart Family", nifty little feature:
Best parental control and monitoring app | Smart Family
When it comes to parenting, everyone could use a little backup. Verizon Smart Family is here to help. It lets you know where your kids are by tracking their device. It also allows you to limit what they see on their devices by setting content filters. Verizon Smart Family - your new partner in parenting.

Geez Kim, with all of that shooting going on out there, tell us that you're carrying in the wild south west.
Oh and let us know when the hottie returns. Does she know that you want to share with her?

Cute. But she was born in 1941. Which, probably, puts her right smack day in the middle of Sky's age range.

Let's just hope she will not suddenly recall Sky touching her inappropriately on 11-3-1961 at 20:23.

Is anyone besides me still wondering if "homocide" means death of a homo, or death by a homo?

Way to be, Sky! What style of BBQ do you specialize in? TX, KC, St. Louis or Carolina or other?

New Mexico style. Slow smoked with Mesquite, and then a sauce of Chipotle in Adobo and Orange Marmalade.

Now that I have learned more.....the title should have read "Homie"-cide.

How in the hell do you change the title of a thread? There used to be a "go advanced" button before.
