Agreed. But if someone was in possession of a drug that the government prohibits shouldn't vilify somebody.

But it does make them a criminal, as they are, by definition committing a crime.

Criminal as in malum prohibitum, sure. But this should scare the crap out of every red-blooded, peace loving gun-owner. Remember, it used to be a crime if you were black and drank from a white-only water bubbler.

You would also be committing a crime if you kept your gold in 1933, or if you decide to keep your guns if via government edict they cannot be held privately.

Criminal is in say good bye to your guns. I don't care what the law used to say or what used to be illegal. I'll stick with the present.

As I said, I hope this shooting is not drug-tainted. It will allow many to simply dismiss it as criminal-on-criminal violence.
