Home Invasion FAIL

Body armor needs to be banned so bad guys can't use them while invasion-ing. Will MA follow CT?

He was just getting his lifes together.

Curious they paper left out the description of the suspect. I wonder why.

The suspect who was inadvertently shot ran out of the house and took off with a getaway driver in a dark-colored car, Gonzalez said.
Deputies were carefully surveying the home for evidence. "There are some firearms. There's ballistic evidence inside the house," Sidney Miller with HCSO said.
Investigators said they do not think the home invasion was random and believe the home was targeted. They're working to determine what the motive was.
Presumably the dead & wounded invaders targeted that house because they believed it was the only home in Texas with no guns... then proceeded to 1) Shoot their accomplice resulting in 2) handing the resident a gun and 3) The second perp getting lethally ventilated.

The search for the two suspects who fled the scene is ongoing.
While the residents might have been unarmed, they're in Texas, won't still be unarmed by sunset.

Head shots still work.
12 gauge slugs (esp. hardcast) will also work; might be survivable, definitely will "stop the threat". OTOH, unless you're expecting intruders with body armor (see bold text above) then it's impolite to start flinging 12 gauge slugs around the neighborhood.

A St. Albans man was arrested after police said he tried to break into a home in Milton using a gun.
The Milton Police Department said they were called to a home on Cornelia Court on Monday afternoon for a report of an attempted home invasion involving a firearm.
When police arrived, they located 37-year-old Quentin Suggs behind the home with numerous injuries. An investigation determined that Suggs attempted to break into the home with a gun, but the residents fought back and subdued him until police arrived.

He's lucky he didn't get shot.
