Home brew case lube

For those who home brew their own case lube, I found a pretty good source for the liquid lanolin. $5.36 ea plus $4.95 shipping. $15.36 total for 8oz landed. That's enough to make over a half gallon of lube., I'm set for life. lol

I have been making my own lanolin alcohol case lube. I it works well. I'm not a fan of the smell of lanolin or how it seems to just get on everything. I too have enough to last a life time.
I have made up 4 oz so far. Just started my second 2 oz bottle should last a lot longer now that I have a better idea of how much to apply.....

I just made my first batch today. It works extremely well. 12 oz 99% alcohol to 1 oz lanolin oil. Although I used 90% alcohol. eBay has a slightly better price on lanolin.

I forgot to mention in my OP but, one of the reasons that I recomended the source that I did was that I had it in 3 days.

100% pure lanolin 7oz found at pharmacy along with 97% isopropyl alcohol. Think it was 12$ for the 2
I can make 8 2oz bottles with the 1 bottle of alcohol.
I mix 1 part lanolin to 12 parts alcohol.
