I really dont care too much, Im use to brass flying in front of my face. It just looked like the charging handle area could also be an ejection port.

If you are talking about the charging handle, there is an aftermarket part from Brass Stacker that moves the charging handle from the left side to the the right side. http://brassstacker.com/hi-point/Hi-Point-995-Right-Side-Charging-Handle-HP-RSCH-09.html

Picked up a 9 a few months back and have yet to shoot it. Also own a 45 which has been nothing but reliable. They're fun, accurate, cheap and reliable but I have other guns that I enjoy shooting more. I'm about ready to thin the heard down to a few guns that I love. The Hi Points will be sold unfortunately.
