hi cap mags, ccw

True, but don't forget....you won't convince an officer to change his interpretation of a law on the side of the road. If you get caught with an AR, and the PO thinks its illegal....guess who wins the first round of that fight?

While cops may not give sound legal advice, knowing their attitudes/interpretations CAN help you avoid unnecessary trouble.

True -- but with the convoluted BS laws surrounding firearms in this state. I'd bet good money you could give the same law to 10 different cops, and you would have at minimum, 5 different responses.

You're likely right, but there would probably be some prevailing themes....and if you're simply looking to lower your chances of getting arrested, what most cops think is illegal is a good thing to know.

If you leave your guns at home (at all times), you aren't likely to run into problems with officer interpretations of what you can/can't do! [rolleyes]

For the risk-adverse, that is the only good advice that any of us can offer.

Obviously, you need to balance how important having a gun with you is, how likely an interaction with the cops is, and your comfort level with whatever the likelyhood of false arrest is.
