A recent pic of my dogs. We're down to two. We have 3 children under 3 right now, so my wife is not enthused about adopted another animal just yet.

Seamus (black and white) is a 6 year old Jack Russell Terrier that I brought home from Ireland after we buried my father. Delilah is a two year old Border Terrier.

Quite simply, they make life easier, and much more enjoyable.

Here are a few of my Bailey. He was a Border Collie Lab mix and 70 pounds of pure love. He was 16 when we had to say goodbye to him. Not a day goes by when I don't think about the great times we had.

Stryker and Meeka taken just before Christmas 2012.

Stryker is a 5 year old Belgian Malinois and Meeka is a 3 year old German Shepherd. It's the only good photo I have of them together so pardon the Christmas Tree.

The OFFICIAL NES Doggie Pic thread.

therealkdc's heartbreaking thread about his dog's struggle with Cancer got me thinking that we need a doggie thread.

Any dogs. Hunting dogs hunting. Family dogs with the family, whatever.

I'll start it off with a couple of mine. He's Chester. The nicest GSP on the planet.

Fellows NES'ers, meet Petey. 1/2 Jack Russell 1/2 Pomeranian. Wife snuck him home 8 years ago after we had lost our last dog, and I told her I couldn't deal with losing another dog. I was skeptical at first, but he is, hands down, the best dog we have ever had. Fearless, a hunter when he was younger, a great watchdog, and companion to us all. Sleeps in bed with us at night, and lives to be outside and in the woods. I care more about him that most of the people I know.

Gracie , our newest rottie. and another rescue from down south.

And this girl was Julie, our first rescue. She was found with 13 other dogs in a basement in Manhatten. They were using her as a puppy mill, even broke her left front leg and left it that way so she couldn't fight off the male dogs anymore..she had some serious trust issues when we first got her but she developed into my favorite dog ever. Until the hardest thing I ever had to do was say goodbye to her, the internal damage she had eventually took her. I can't begin to tell how much this dog meant to me..

I even had a local artist do a "memorial" picture of her.
