While driving in the rain today again I foundmyself cursing at somebody who was nearly invisable because they were driving in the rain without thier headlights on.

I know in Maine it's illigal to turn on your wipers without also turing on your headlights (great rule)

I know one of the many LEOs here can tell me if there is a similar law in Mass

Yeah I've often thought of the ridiculousness of MA laws. In NY it's also illegal to have wipers without headlights. Also illegal to drive and use cellphone without handsfree. Two things that MA law should concentrate on before they start worrying about my safely stored guns... [roll] [roll] [roll]

I see your point [shock]

But seriously, I just meant that more people will accidentally be injured in car crashes because of no lights or cell phones in MA than all the people who will be accidentally injured by guns in the entire US.

I don't mind the no driving with cell phones unless its hands free. I've nearly had countless accidents because of idiots paying more attention to the call than the road.

There already is a law for that, it's called reckless driving. If that is enforced the people who CAN drive while on the phone will be just fine.

What about the dink in the Black Beemer doing 75 with his lights off in a thunderstorm.

I can't imagine he has ANY IDEA he looks like black cat blinking on a moonless night.
