HBO's new series 'Rome'

Ok, it is definately not your run of the mill series, but anyone else finding it interesting?

Now, remember, before you go on about 'its just sex with violence thrown in' that in that time sex wasn't the taboo it is today.


From what I've actually read, the little details such as customs and the like are dead on.

I don't get HBO (or Showtime, etc. etc.).

I only get it cuz I live with my parents and my dad needs his dose of skinemax every so often.

Besides, he got one of them nice HDTV's and sports kicks ass with it.

Living at home kicks ass. Cheap rent=nice toys. Just mow the lawn hear and there, do the dishes once in a while.... I love it.

Hehe, I have been blessed. I have been 'Forbidden' to mow the lawn.

But for dishes and cooking, do those anways and I do the kitchen Mantra 'Clean as you go.'

You can actually tell when I cook and my dad does. The kitchen is always clean and organized after I get done with it.

Yea, I only get Starz. But that's because Starz has a bigger selection for on-demand.

I enjoyed the first two or three episodes of Rome, but then I lost interest. Too soap opera for my tastes.

I've seen all 7 that have shown so far. Not bad. I have enjoyed it.... since there is no Wire or Sapranos to watch.

I've only been watching it because of Patrick. I don't know what he sees in it, but it was interesting to find out that Cleopatra was a junkie and had a baby with Julius Caesar. I never knew that before.
