I'm in. Love it. Never seen a ghost, nor do I particularly believe in them. However, I certainly don't NOT believe either.

Love GhostHunters on SciFi channel. DVR records every episode.

    I'd be totally in.

I've eaten at the John Stone Inn in Ashland... didn't see the ghost, though, and didn't feel anything, either. And I'm usually sensitive to those sort of things.

But sure, I'm up for it.

    When are we going?

Okay...this could be good! (Don't worry BJ, I'll protect you :D ). Now, the question is When and Where? There's a number of places that sound pretty cool on the list, however I do know that some of them are guarded (The Danvers State Hospital, which is REALLY haunted, has security partolling the area, and you can't get close), so, any suggestions on a place on the list that's central to all of us?

    WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    [lol]

I live right down the street from ST. Stephens...never heard about that kid footprint thing before, but I do know there is a stone there that "glows" in the dark (has something to do with the sun and the minerals in it) Gonna have to check that out...And I was stationed at Devens back in '85...sooo cool.
Thanks Lynne! I've bookmarked it for NEXT fall...

I know just where the one in North Attleboro is. We can do that one also if you want to come out this way.

A dancing statue, huh? Wonder if he does the funky chicken. [lol]
If I have some time later, I'm going to take the list and a map and look for something really good. I'm mean, if we're gonna go looking for spirits, then let's make it something that will raise hair. (I'll still protect you BJ [wink] )

Ya gotta go to the basement. And I know quite a few people who will NEVER do that again. (grew up in Ashland)

John Stones and the Stone Inn are the same place. New owners, same old ghosts. (^_^)

Just saw "The Grudge" on DVD last night. Dunno if I want to go tempting fate until the blood gurgling sounds fade... (^_^)

*wonders where to get an unlicenced thermonuclear power pack on short notice*

I apologsie fellow spirit hunters...I've been trying to work on my book the past week and haven't had time to check over the list of the places. Take another look see at it, and whoever lives near, or close to, the best sounding one, then I vote we head there. Yes?

Or do several one. Find a bunch in one area, all meet up and do them. Then a couple of weeks later, do another area.

I wouldn't try to do more than two (we can come up with a few of them to have on hand), due to the fact that this may not be a "happening" 2 seconds after we get there. Sometimes it can take a while before you see/hear something. But, there were a few places that had multiple "sightings".

I understand that, and now I get what you were saying..

For some reason, I was thinking that you just meant one. And only one.

The one on Joanns in Bellingham may be a urban legend. I have a close friend that worked there for a couple years and said she saw nothing special but did hear rumors of it.

I believe it depends on the person. There is a place I go to all the time. Depending on the person they either see something or experience nothing at all. Never the less I always tell them to tell me what they saw so I don't say anything that can influence what they see.

I'm definately down with a meet up for a little hunting. But, as I have experienced, cops normally show up. Which means I never carry when out looking around. Makes things easier.

Here's the site that I mentioned before....

Boston - Fort Warren - haunted by a lady in black believed to be the wife of Lt. Andrew Lanier. Fort Warren was a prison during the civil war, and the Lt. was confined there. The story is that his wife came to Boston. She dressed as a man, and snuck onto the island one moonless night to try and help her husband escape. They were cornered however, and when her gun misfired her husband was killed. She was sentenced to be hanged, and her only request was that she be allowed to be dressed as a woman. Someone found a black dress that had been used in a play the soldiers had put on and she wore it to the gallows. Its said she still walks the island. Reports for hearing gunshot and screams, and moaning.

It's not exactly accurate, but close enough.
