Hey everyone, I’ve been attending some IDPA practices at the HSC at the suggestion of Betsy Grecoe and have been trying to get a sponsorship to join the club, but haven’t had any luck so far. I’ve been told it can take a while to meet someone who’s willing to sponsor and that I would have better luck trying to connect with someone here, which doesn’t seem to be the meta anymore given how cold the other sponsorship requests are going.. I get it but it feels disheartening to not even get a chance to interact with anyone, I cant afford a good pistol or kit so when Im at the IDPA practices Im a bit of a black sheep, however I do have a solid semi auto rifle/carbine/shotgun collection I was able to build out right before the August bans to my wallets despair. But I’m eager to get involved and contribute to the community where I can. I jumped the gun a bit and have already been to the monthly new member tour/safety briefing.
Would anyone be interested in going out shooting with me a few times? I’m hoping to meet more experienced members and maybe work toward getting a sponsorship for the upcoming cycle. I’m responsible, careful, and really committed to the sport. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! HSC is a really desirable club for a college student on a budget given thier student rate so Id really love to gain membership so I can shoot more!
