Was it discovered by a fake Indian or a "constitutional scholar" ... that place is a massive fraud with zero credibility beyond SJW agenda

Those are important questions to ask. How does this discovery benefit the patriarchy? What gender fluid people were oppressed in order for this discovery to be possible? Why are nearly all the people who discover this stuff white men, and why do they get all this grant money? Steven Hawking needed to be more diverse.... What an ahole he was for being a straight white guy, utilizing his privileges to unfairly get where he got.

you can see that's an unmistakable phallic symbol, only lacking balls, thus can not be sent by vagina led civilization.

I bet you that this was discovered by a female scientist who needs to get laid.

Why would an alien probe be cigar shaped? It is not "flying" through air, aerodynamics don't come into play. A sphere gives you the best surface-to-volume ratio.

It's just a rock, but leave it up to some Harvard scholar to invent something out of thin air.

Yes, but you see, the rock unexpected accelerated faster than it would be expected to as it gets nearer the sun. The acceleration would be normal if it were a Comet, because expelling gasses makes it go a bit faster. But, this thing has no tail (that we can see yet... It could just be CO2) . Therefore, the aliens turned on their engines.

Of course, this explanation sounds better if you ignore the little detail that the ship accelerated approximately 1 millionth faster than it had been going before, because that is what alien ships do.. . They fire up their engines to go full speed ahead 1 millionth faster than they were going before, because reasons.

lol. Intelligent analysis is intelligent. Imagine the g-force.

Aliens. I know we're living in a simulation because when the number 8 key broke on my laptop keyboard from that point on the number 8 became about one third of the numbers I had to type. This is statistically impossible and proves the great Coder was messing with me. Also, both the COBE and Planck satellites showed via cosmic microwave background radiation that the Earth is at the center of the universe, which is impossible unless God exists and/or we're in a simulation.

I'll give them a probe that makes them wish they were Cartman in Season 1.

I love it when the media ends up mangling the story...

I believe the "photo" is an artist rendering of... something.

The object was discovered a year ago. Its trajectory is not a standard orbit and it is moving quite fast.
Based on reflectivity, they guess that it is about five times as long as it is wide and tumbling. The authors call it "pancake" not "cigar".
It has presented, non-gravitational changes in velocity.
Comets do this due to out-gassing.
    Could be a comet.
No out-gassing detected and no evidence of gas around it, so not a comet as we know it.

So, what else could cause it to exhibit non-gravitational changes in velocity?
    Solar wind.

They then do a bunch of math to prove that a thin disk about 1mm thick could account for the observations and could presumably survive long term existence in space without being destroyed by dust and tidal forces.

They then speculate that this object, having originated outside our solar system with a hyperbolic trajectory, shaped like nothing we have seen before and bearing similar dimensions to solar sails we have constructed might not be of natural origin but instead a constructed object... but we don't and won't know because it is long gone.

I do gotta wonder what the aliens need all this butt probing for. How much more can they learn about our species by doing this? You would think by now they could just put our DNA into their computer and simulate a human and learn all they need.

Oh well. I guess we'll find out why in a few months when they eventually arrive on their extremely slow space ship.

Due to the prime directive, the alien craft can not contact us unless they find signs of intelligent life down here...like warp core signatures, etc.

Hence the silence from their probe
