Here is the body of the email I just sent to Gillette:

    Gillette,

After more than 20 years as a die-hard Gillette customer, today I received my first shipment from Harry's Razors. I decided to quit Gillette after seeing the pretentious, preachy, slanderous #MeToo commercial that aired late last year.

I am going to "Contact Us" you every time I receive a shipment of Harry's so you can continually feel the impact of foregone revenue due to your decision to condescend to your consumer base.

Also, Harry's razors and shave gel are superior to yours, so I'm glad I made the switch.

I stopped using Gillette like 4 years ago when Harry's first started.

I too thought the Gillette video was pretentious and condescending and just couldn't get my head around why a company would not only step on but lick the third rail of mixing politics with business. That video was clearly pandering to SJW's, at the expense of alienating long time customers with any sense of decency.

I stopped buying Gillette at that point and ordered a Van Der Hagen starter kit. Amazon (again) botched the delivery and the Van Der Hagen distributor sent me another kit plus extras, no questions asked. Eventually some guilty neighbor dropped off the goods at my house, so I offered that kit as a karma. https://www.northeastshooters.com/xen/threads/closed-winner-chopper-man-adios-gillette-karma.365575/ Razor is decent and has a longer handle which is easier for my mitts to use. Blades are made in Germany and are good quality. Their 'Butter' shave cream is outstanding.

Thinking about using their razor and the Butter is great stuff.

Harry’s user and liked their gel and cream but it doesn’t hold a candle in comparison.
Harry’s blades started out great but I’m losing the love. Angle or something isn’t right. I’m burning down supply and will re-evaluate.

    I signed up for Harry's when the Gillette thing started, then found out;
-Harry's #metoo stance seemed as harsh as Gillette, its somewhere on their web site.
-Harry's advertises on CNN and MSNBC and not the conservative programs that I happen upon or frequent.
-Dollar Shave club had a fat-guy on it's front web-page with a sports letter shaved on his belly on first curiosity visit to their page.
-Signed up for DSC and both the Gillette and Harry's handles will likely take a dump.
-Had first subscription delivery and really enjoy the shave butter, body wash and definitely the after-shave cream.
--They even provide bathroom reading materials.

I never used any of them, I use a Norelco electric for $50 and replace it when the batteries stop holding a charge after about 5 years.

I haven't used Gilette in years, and my grandfather was an OG Gilette engineer.

Lately, I've switched to Targets up & up Gilette knockoffs using a Mach 3 handle. Great shave, and cheaper than Harry's

I got suckered in by Harry's commercials and appearance, so gave it a try. Personally, I didn't care for the shave at all.

So much butthurt over a commercial. I thought liberals were supposed to be the snowflakes. Don’t like them then just move on. The dude that reads the corporate email doesn’t care at all about the monthly break up letter from you.

i would not call it butthurt.
i would say it is more "I'm mad as hell, and i'm not going to take it anymore".

We will use our money to send a message to these lefty corporations. AND like in Dick's case, put them on the road to insolvency

I wouldn’t call it butthurt at all. I got fed up with the costs of Gillette blades and gell before the commercial.

Because they feel some men can do better they're lefty? Lmao I'm pretty sure most men on here were raised right. Treat women right etc.. that's the overall goal. I would think we're all on the same page? But of course it's a hard split between left and right...wow there are some things good people can agree on. It doesn't matter if you're Republican or Democrat...

I get it. One person, not much a difference on a company's bottom line. But look at Dicks. One person turned into quite a few. If a company doesn't want my business, it doesn't bother me to find another one that does. My money is still earned.

IIRC, Dorco is what DSC uses (used).

I use Harry's - because it worked for me a few years ago. Now I can buy them at Tar-Jay. Which is good b/c they use one of those POS 3rd-party shippers that let the package sit in their warehouse for 3 days before shipping.

Harry's is in CT (or is it NJ? Close!). It take 5 days to get me a package. LL Bean - Maine. 1 day. I'll buy it at TarJay from now on and have them make LESS money on me than they'd lose on the shipping. Whoops-to-them.

I've been using Harry's for about 4+ years. Although I stopped their blade replacement delivery since the local Walmart now carries their products.

I buy into our boycotts, like Dicks, Nike and certain stores and that idiotic commercial pisses me off but I tried other razors over the years and none of them shave as close or last as long as Gillette ones. The one I just shaved with is from November or December and it still shaves close and isn't hacking up my face yet. I can't or at least haven't yet gotten that kind of quality or value anywhere else. One pack of 3 razors literally lasts me a year.

I do want to switch to a rechargeable soon for convenience so if anyone can recommend one that can be recharged in the car, I'd welcome a recommendation.

I picked up a harry's handle and a couple of blades recently. Have not tried them out yet, still have 2 Gillette blades left to use up. Hopefully I will like the Harry's and will switch.

    I also use safety razors.
IMHO you will not get a better
    shave with any multi blade
cartridge razor than you can get
with a single blade safety razor.
Granted you must be very careful
when learning how to use a safety
razor. You can fillet your face if you’re
not careful. When you get the hang of it
you get a baby soft shave in one pass. Another
bonus is if your facial hair gets a little
long, no troubles. A safety razor will cut
it down on a single pass no clogging!

Been using Harry's blades for years. I just order them as needed since I refuse to go into WallyMartz and it's more convenient to just get them delivered than get over to one of the stores that carry it. I placed an order the other day and got the ship notification. IME, I'll have them before the end of the week. I don't need them the next day. I usually place the order when I'm either on the last blade, or have one left in reserve. Besides, for free shipping, I can wait a couple of days.
