My neighbor a shut-in combat medic. I called him and pitched having a turkey dinner together, “nah don’t like holidays”.
Made me feel bad I could’t lure him out. The next night I had an uncharacteristic brainstorm, I called him back up and said “I had bought two 3 pound lobsters was he game” ?

He likes holidays now...

Sadly not any longer. Neighbor was a Korea (I believe) vet, and he passed away a couple years ago. His widow followed earlier this year, a couple months after the big May storms we had. (She was on oxygen, and since we were without power, I had to spend the better part of that night there with her, swapping her reserve tanks, until her son could make it through the storm damage and get home.)
