I saw a little blurb on WHDH (Channel 7) about an upcoming Hank Investigates piece on people in Mass who carry guns. The promo piece looked anti-gun in a yellow-journalism sort of way, but we'll see how this plays. I think it's airing either tonight (Sunday) or tomorrow night at 11:00. Channel 7 News is some of the worst tabloid-style reporting in Boston; I have no doubts that this will be utterly biased, reactionary journalism. We can probably thank those two licensed idiots who shot people in road rage incidents recently for inspiring this upcoming news report.
 
I am hoping for the best, but bracing for the worst.

Of course, I have little doubt that she will make it appear like all LTCs permit concealed carry, and also that everyone who is lawfully able to carry a concealed gun does so 24/7.

I expect no mention to be made that those of us who carry guns only do so because we have proven ourselves to be good citizens.


The piece airs tonight on the 7 News at 11.
 
Ch. 7 has the tendency to be the "National Inquirer" of the air waves, and I don't usually watch it, but I will tonight. Thanks C-X.

Their website doesn't show anything since 7/25! They really work at keeping it up to date . . . NOT!

I painfully watched ch. 7 snews at 11 last night and no Hank.

It's on tonight Len. They usually run her pieces during the week, not the weekend.

Thanks. I'll have to endure two evenings in a row of Ch. 7 snews. This can be painful!!

BTW, I just received Email from the SAS eList about it too.

The taping was done at Braintree R&P and they wanted some SAS women with LTC-A/ALP. Nobody volunteered (and probably damn few SAS-MA women have LTC-A/ALP), so they shagged a guy from the gun club and Lynne Roberts (who has a restricted LTC). Apparently the guy did a dump on the Quincy chief who was downgrading LTCs and the entire "discretionary" nature of LTC issuance. IIRC, the guy didn't want to be identified by name (can't blame him).

Lynne Roberts commented that she couldn't figure out which side of the issued Hank Philippe Ryan was on, so we don't know if it will be a fair story or a "dump on radical gun owners" piece, like we are used to!

NO never. Just watch a Michael Moore movie. He never does anything like that.

Nope, she never does that for anyone. She airs a story after some diligent research, then goes off to do another.

I gave her a story (early 1990s) about a crooked timeshare developer and FL lawfirm that was trying to rip off US "owners". She interviewed me, chased down the developer in Holland and did a phone interview with him, contacted other "owners", the FL AG's office (who I had contacted and they eventually raided the lawfirm, seized a bank account with $9.2 Million that was destined for "off shore" and returned the money to the rightful owners), etc. She did this all in the space of a week and that was the end of her involvement . . . even though the drama actually continued for another 2-3 years.

I saw a commercial for it while waiting for my car this morning, and just the way she's saying "No one realizes how many are out there!" does NOT bode well for us.

Just saw another commercial about how "We don't report news; we uncover news!" This is gonna be bad...

Now Cross-X, I know quite a few horses who have very nice arses, and I'm sure they'd be VERY unhappy at being compared to that fat, arrogant, liberal butt kissing, slimeball who thinks he's hot sh*t in a champagne glass, when in actuality he's a cold turd in a dixie cup.

And yes, I'll need a heavy duty spitoon for those 10 penny nails that I'll be upchucking. I have the feeling that I'll be taking out my poison pen after the news tonight.
