Brass. Gold plated would have run in to more $$'s. I used to make pieces like that and even more dazzeling (austrian crystals) from bra and skirts to full length dresses.

I remember seeing a BFB (Bunny Fur Barbarian) at Pennsic once who had the most INTERESTING sunburn... she'd worn an unlined chain mail bra.
