Ok so a non existing system to register guns with. Does that apply to carry guns also? What's scary is RI never has an original thought and will try to copy this BS

RI has a provision in its state’s constitution that there is to be no gun registry. They’ve tried several time to get an AWB and failed. They’ve added 10 round mag limit and “safe” storage requirements. Plus needing a blue card to buy ammo.

They also have declared 2a sanctuary towns that refuse to enforce any new gun laws.

RI liberals don't care about the state constitution. They operate with the attitude of I'll make a law and you can spend your money to sue and the state spends your money to defend itself .

Agree generally...same with MA only slightly less retarded. I was mistaken as my second post clarified. It's part of 11-47-41

And it's pretty explicit...so they have to repeal this entirely to even attempt registration. Allegedly when a firearm is purchased through a dealer, there is th standard 4473 with the ATF and the form that goes to the town one resides...only so they can protest if they have a problem. After 30 days they're supposed to destroy those (whether they do or not is another question). I recall a local news station got a case of the vapors because the DEM doesn't keep a list of people they've issued blue cards to (heavens to Betsy!). But the DEM apparently follows the law (even though a blue card doesn't always mean firearms ownership).

11-47-41. Government firearm registration prohibited.
No government agency of this state or its political subdivisions shall keep or cause to be kept any list or register of privately owned firearms or any list or register of the owners of those firearms; provided, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to firearms which have been used in committing any crime of violence, nor to any person who has been convicted of a crime of violence.
