The 1992 debates were pretty fun to watch with Perot.

One of the last great moments in SNL...

RIP, Ross. You shook things up, even if you did help get that shithead Billy elected. Still, our democracy would do better if there were more like you.

He WOULD have won. IIRC, he pulled out because his daughter's life was threatened, presumably by Hillary.

I suspect we would be much better off today had we elected Perot over Clinton

He was an interesting guy. Read a short bio piece about him in Investors Business Daily years ago. He was a salesman for IBM iirc, and made his yearly quota in like a month or two.

RIP Mr Perot, and f*ck SNL.

He made his max quota and income for a year in a month or two as you indicate. And then he just stopped selling. He'd get sales ready for the beginning of the next year since they maxed out his compensation.

    :)

It was claimed to be a Republican plot to distribute nudie pics of his daughter at her wedding or something:

Secrets of Past Elections Revealed! (1992)

But: "It was later discovered that the man who told Perot about the plots actually made it up, in an effort to discredit Bush."

    So it WAS Hillary.

That stupidity is why he started his own computer company and ate IBM for lunch.

Exit polls in the early 90s vs pollsters in 16?

    Probably not the same people

There are a number of articles/films about it

Perot predicted that NAFTA would cause the loss of millions of jobs.

    He was right.

RIP. Voted for him and enjoyed the story of the covert op he supported to save his employees. “On Wings of Eagles” by Ken Follet.
