I have a low 8XXX serial# H&R Young American. Blued trigger guard 2” hex barrel.

Its in decent condition for a 100+ yr old piece.
It appears the friction pin is stuck in the down position or heavily worn.

Question : it looks like this model had a free turning cylinder until you started to pull the trigger.
As you pull the trigger the “cylinder lock” tab rises up and the cylinder lifter sticks out more.
Its a bit worn but I think once the friction pin is replaced it might just be ok for another 50+ years

Any tips on working that friction pin loose?
