In early April, I and my friends sent NH rep Charlie Bass the following letter:
"Congressman Charlie Bass,
It has come to our attention and concern that you have not co-sponsored H.R. 822 National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011. With this letter we, as a representation on NH citizens, are requesting a written response as to why you feel it is not important to co-sponsor this bill which as of the time of this letters writing, is supported by 116 other Representatives in Washington D.C.
It is our concern that if you do not support H.R. 822 you are preventing the lawful carrying of firearms by individuals who are traveling outside their home State and this interferes with the constitutional right of interstate travel, and harms interstate commerce.
We have taken the initiative to provide the text of H.R. 822 and its findings and a list of its co-sponsors including NH state Congressman Frank Guinta. We hope to receive a written response as to your position in a timely fashion.
