You are a good person pupchow, and I truly admire your commitment to your cause.
I know they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but given that all dogs were bred for specific characteristics, I can't help but wonder what the breeders were thinking when they came up with this breed.
I don't know much about the breed and they are probably great dogs, but Isabelle is one ugly bitch.[smile] Please don't tell her I said so.
 
That's so sad. Poor thing needs a good cleanup and some space to own. Too many other animals here, but that's a classic breed rescue situation. Thanks for posting it.

Good grooming will help but only so much. This is my mom's GWP.

Good bird dogs. Very much like a GSP exept hairy. Lol.

Make sure she gets excersise and likely she would be a great dog
 
It's not so much wirey to the touch. It just looks that way and it seems thinner than fur. It looks better when you keep them trimmed. My mom said she's so ugly that it makes her cute. She has been a really good dog.
