Some of the responses are pretty infuriating. The argument is that we need less guns because college kids might be afraid to break up and it is no way to be... Yet they offer no better solution as the call box, campus security, rape whistle, anti-rape face, and urinating isn't working.

First off, you have no "right" to feel safe.

If there was it would infringe on your actual rights such as the right to free speech, bear arms, and assemble.

Second off, your children aren't alive by the mere fact that they haven't encountered an armed person yet... They have.
If a 200lb guy wants to kill the average girl, he can. That fact does not make him a criminal. Your daughter putting her self at the same advantage doesn't make her a criminal either.
