This seems to have flown under the radar until The Blaze picked it up.

The video from a violent gun attack in Philadelphia last month has just been releases. And it’s shocking.

According to prosecutors, two gunmen unleashed a hail of bullets into a city bus after a female passenger had a minor spat with a stranger. A hail of bullets ripped through the bus, creating havoc among passengers, but amazingly nobody was injured.

The best line in the whole story is towards the end when the defense lawyers supposedly say that "No assault occured because no one was hit."

On the bright side, the guy complaining about the spanking won't do that again... [laugh]

He is the biggest idiot of them all. The kid was acting up and she disciplined the kid. Good for her up till that point. What she did after that is astonishingly stupid however.

How do you pass a bar exam and not know the definition of the word assault? I couldn't be more pleased these idiots will be represented by the worst public defender ever.

She barely hit his butt too, not a big deal.

I've 20 year old mothers in Target yelling and dragging 4 year olds around like they are teenagers more times than I can count.

What did this lady say to her boys when she got off the bus? Please shoot the bus up for me???

Outlaw public transportation.

Yes and no, because our current definition of "assault with a deadly weapon" in MA seems to include drawing your gun when you are in fear for your life but not shooting it. [thinking]

Yes, their statement is absurd, these guys clearly are guilty of AWDW and attempted murder, but we've extended the concept of assault to things it should not in our legal system, so appealing to "logic" and "reason" doesn't work here (as usual, the law doesn't care about logic and reason).
