Gun porn

Don’t know if it was that one that was posted before but videos of theirs have been posted before. Just as amazing as the others I have seen.

Have to wonder how many man hours goes into each of those shotguns... Plus how many years of training each person goes through before getting their position.

And the prices are only for "used" guns - hate to see what the new cost is.

I remember being in Jimmy Squid's in Chicopee once, and saw a Kreighoff drilling in 16ga (forgot rifle caliber, something European) for $650 - I told the guy I'd take it, and my wife got pissed at me. When he moved the gun, the other zero became visible, and I said never mind, I thought it was going for $650 and the guy asked if I thought he was stupid. I told him I had hoped so, but I guess he wasn't.

$6500 would be a steal for an H&H. The lowest used price right now looks like 8500... pounds. That’s still over $10k, and the stock on that one is mere “French” walnut. The nerve!

These are real-life “Downton Abbey” guns. I’m sure they’re an excellent investment.

I’ve never handled an H&H, but even “lower-market” English doubles like late-1800s Webleys or Scotts are beautifully made and a dream to handle, and still available here for a thousand or less. That was the golden age of side lock shotties.

I don't think I could be a metal engraver. Put too much pressure on the tool and have it skip across your piece. Well, there goes who knows how many hours worth of work. I'd be a nervous wreck.

I did that one time, but it was a pair of sneakers. Damn things where the comfiest I ever wore, for only $65! Then as I started towards the register I noticed the "1" in front. Doh!....I bought em anyways.

Do I even ask what H&H charges for a shotgun?

Don’t ask us.

Go to their website. They’ll give you the full rundown. EVERYTHING about these guns is custom-made. I don’t believe they produce anything off the shelf.

They didn’t used to, anyway.

I did some research on H&H some years ago. It’s a fascinating side of the industry. Really old-world.

Quick search led me to a starting price of $22.5K and upwards of $265K. Here I am with a few safe queens that don't even compare to these beauties.

Yup.

So my most expensive firearm is about 11% the cost of their lowest-priced offering. Seems about right.

They probably sell a keychain or something that I could afford.

Eta: maybe not. Their version of a plastic rifle case runs 190GBP.

H&H is what you start talking about getting...leaving browser tabs open and catalogs around etc...so your wife is relieved when you come home with a lowly Krieghoff K-80 ;)

Somehow the cost of the shotguns makes the cost of the matching Range Rover (the most expensive one they've ever produced) seem reasonable.
