I already threw this up on February Acquisitions, but it fits here, too. Man oh man, am I fond of this little Aussie. This is the FAL-type rifle I always wanted.View attachment 452600

It's been one of my Covid shut-in projects, gathering, finishing, and installing all the wood.
That has the perfect amount of wear. Cant stand old guns that look new.

I'm very pleased with it. When I bought it, the pictures made it look a little better and I was happy this one has some wear. My previous L1A1, an Enfield, was in much nicer shape. This one looks like it just got put back into the weapons rack at Nui Dat. At first, I was doubtful I'd be able to find the right furniture; I didn't want to put on some beautiful Ironwood stuff.

This one's never getting sold.

It’s a Marlin 1895 GBL in 45-70. She will probably have some after market work done this spring/summer.
Sweet looking rifle, thanks. 👍
It's a Thumpenboomer. ;)
That explains the recoil pad. 🤣 I was thinking it was a shot gun or something. My uncle gave me an old Winchester 94 30-30 which had a recoil pad on it. It wasn't for the kick, but to add length to the stock. He was a big guy. Luckily I was able to find a correct butt plate for it.

A few more.

TQTDS&WSchofield-1.jpg

Smith and Wesson Schofield .45. Just meat and potatoes. Me and Jesse James think it's the best handgun in the world. Had the trigger guard removed, it saves drawin' time. Don't ever wear it when you're drunk, or you'll kill your feet.

I bought these from NES classifieds a few years ago (two different members). Just took them out of safe and took a pic on my work bench. I thought they made a big brother/little brother pair of Hunters. SuperBlackhawk 44mag and Single Six in 22lr/WMR.
