Gun owner problems...

well, it's official. today me and the BF are cleaning the house for a party and in preparation we tried to put away all of our firearms.
we've just discovered that our safe will not fit all of our guns.
looks like it's time for a second, bigger and better safe!
it's a good problem to have.

to be fair, i got my first gun just over a year ago.. so i think we're right on track!

actually, in all honesty, i think we're just putting them away in order to do a ceremonial type presentation or whatever. or it was to get them out of the say while we clean, whateverrrr

can't tell you more about the party until after... they might be watching

It's still hard not to get mad when that happens. I was even more conflicted when I got mad at all my .22 because it took up the room I needed for some new wheel guns.

I think my safe shrinks in the dry air. Back during the humidity of last summer I think there was more room.

I just picked up a 2nd safe because i couldnt put any AR's in the 1st one , it's filled with pistols and Ammo. I made all of the shelves except the very top 1. Plywood, wool carpet and spray glue. Pic is from last september.

I'm only 4 months into getting my LTC and I need a new bigger safe already. However that's mainly due to the fact that I grossly underestimated exactly how addictive guns are and bought a small 2-tier Stack-On as my first safe.[sad2]

This doesn't even include our EDCs or the 3 "curiosity" guns I leave the the shop... I think that jumbo safe may be in the future.
Is it weird that I wanna put a bed, mini fridge, and xbox in there too? Like a man cave (or den, I'm current), but better, and for me. A safe room, but a safe. A safe safe?

Yep, I have stuff stored in a friend's safe now and still have a few builds planned. I guess I can do the builds until her safe is overfilled. I told her to get a bigger safe!

I stack my guns and ammo like cordwood in my basement because I am a free man. I stopped using safes and ammo cans the day I moved to NH. Sometimes the cat is playing with loose ammo in the basement. Oh well.

I also don't ask the Government permission to build something, and than claim I'm a free man either.

At what point do you just build a safe room instead of doing something like that? That's borderline silly.
