Gun Confiscation Coming in Virginia

In case this is news to some......on Fri, FAA declared Richmond area part of National Defense Airspace until lobby day is over.....

Amazing! Look what they can accomplish when targeting American citizens. They did not dare to bother bunch of losers from Chechnya prior to Boston Marathon bombing. Why to risk their lives with trained killers who were kicked even from their mosque?

By the way, did they find already those Saudis we were training how to fly weapons of mass destruction while downloading porn?

Do not underestimate their readiness to kill innocent people.

WTF is wrong with this statement?

Its not a trick question.......the statement is good one

The quoted statement is good, I agree. The way the article starts off sounds bad though, as if Gilbert / VA House Republicans agrees with Northam that gun activists are terrorists. I don’t know anything about Gilbert, specifically.

TLDR: No one wants to die tomorrow.

InfoWars has wall to wall coverage of this event.

Here is the latest from the boots on the ground...

Be careful minininjer !

They are getting ready to livestream from multiple people on the ground...

How about the GOP stand united with "The People"?
You know those same ones that put their faith in them enough to cast their vote in favor of..

Maybe I'm being too critical of the GOP and their stance on our citizens 2A rights..

We have been rail roaded enough in the last fourty years by so called people that support the citizens rights afforded by the 2A.

I wish for someone to finally stand up as a politician and say NO MORE!
Either agree with our constitution or step down you traitor of OUR People!
Shall not be infringed. Read it, understand it and live it or get the F out of OUR Country!

Time for the GOP to stand up or get the F out of the way...

America land of the free..If your the Elites or the undocumented!
Everyone else is just a second class citizen fighting for those same rights that they are protected by..

She absolutely 100% said exactly as I stated.....it was HER testimony not mine......
I know she said exactly that. I said that she said it, in my post that you quoted. I've watched her say it many times, and have shared video of her saying it too many times to count.

So I don't know why you think I accused you of misquoting her.

My only point was that in Texas in 1991, it was exactly as illegal for her to have her handgun in her car as it would have been to have it holstered on her person.

For decades people had gotten away with breaking the law, because (wink-wink) the law was only intended to be enforced against those people. But by the late '80s we had reached a new equality, where a white professional woman was also at risk of being arrested and charged, and that was the major impetus for shall-issue carry license laws.

Until 1995, Texas didn't have any legal carry method at all, not even discretionary issue.

Last minute information from VCDL:
  • VCDL is concerned that the police may not have fully considered the crowd size that is coming, even thought we have indicated it could be as much as 120,000. Be prepared to move to an overflow area if directed to do so.
  • One of our members with access to police intelligence has advised us that specific threats have been uncovered to three of the speakers at the rally. Yet, just a few days ago when specifically asked about any such threats, the Capitol Police denied knowing of any and have not shared any such information to date.
  • Remember to bring bottled water to avoid dehydration.

VCDL thinks 120k people will be here in Richmond, I honestly kind of doubt that myself but I ain’t no professional. Based on what I’ve seen tonight, walking around and whatnot, it doesn’t seem really any different than any other year I’ve been here lol I know that a lot of people will be bused in tomorrow but let’s say... 50 buses are coming... what, 100 people per bus? That’s 5,000. Sooo 100,000 other people are coming in their own cars? Lol seems like some people are gonna exaggerate the numbers and some will underestimate it.

Where even are these numbers coming from? I know someone who is going and he’s said “yes I’m going” to several different lobby day events for tomorrow, hosted by different people on FB, for example. A lot of these numbers could very well just be duplicated.

I have to disagree here. I’m very familiar with SWAT-T/CAT-T and Rats TQ having carried them and trained extensively with them on my team, and there’s nothing at all wrong with the RATS system, it’s faster, easier to use one handed, applies just as much pressure than a CAT and can be used on much smaller limbs (IE your dog or child etc) whereas the others are tough to fit on small limbs. For Mini being her size, I think the RATS is perfect for her.

I keep several TQ’s around and in my vehicle. I’ve swapped out my CATS for RATS (no pun intended) and am confident that they’ll do exactly what I need them to.

Do you have any experience with them personally and if so why would you not use them?

Keeping in mind that TQ’s started with just simple strips of cloth and a stick to twist it tight and tie it off, so this isn’t rocket science, it just needs to be fast, secure, and easy to use in the extreme stressors/circumstances they’d be needed in.

Oil up your hands or wet them with some type of lubricant to simulate blood all over them, then try and get a CATS open one handed with all that Velcro closure and straps and time it to application rate.

Then try the RAT system using the same scenario, it’s so ridiculously easy and fast I’ve never looked back after using mine.
I think it comes down to personal preference and what I used while deployed. I picked up a RATS last year to see what the fuss was about and compared them on myself and still found I was much faster with the CAT with either one or both hands. Possibly because it was beaten into us in 68W school, deployment, and far too many years of TCCC training. Ive heard the RATS is more user friendly to non medic individuals but I'm not sure if that was just someones opinion.

There were a few studies done that showed CATs achieving hemostasis faster, with more pressure, and with less nerve damage due to the wider ligature.

When I was deployed the RATS tourniquet wasnt yet an option so I havent been able to evaluate any traumatic amputations with it, but I have with a CAT and it worked quick and effectively even with blood covering my hands.

I hear what your saying about the RAT with small children, though I had no problem using a CAT on a 7 yo Iraqi kid with an arterial bleed from a shrapnel wound. Had it been a toddler then I think the advantage would go to the RATS. Ive never applied a tourniquet to a dog so I cant speak to that LOL (seem to hear that a lot on the RATS ads). Virginia gun rally: anti-fascist activists will not mount counter-protest

  • Local leftist groups cite serious safety concerns
  • Far-right groups expected to attend Richmond event
Anti-fascist activists will not mount a counter-protest at a gun rights rally at Virginia’s state capitol on Monday that is expected to attract thousands, including white supremacists and anti-government militia groups.

Virginia Democrats won an election. Gun owners are talking civil war

Anti-fascists from Richmond and Charlottesville publicly advised supporters to avoid the rally altogether, citing serious safety concerns. Molly Conger, a journalist and activist, told the Guardian activists in Charlottesville had agreed to encourage supporters to stay away.

“There is no counter-demonstration planned for the 20 January convergence of armed militias on Virginia’s capitol,” Conger wrote on Twitter on Saturday. “Conditions [on] Monday will not be safe. This is not an outcome we can affect.”

Anti-fascist groups cited several reasons for their decision, including serious threats of violence, their own opposition to some gun control measures proposed by the Virginia government and concern for ordinary gun owners planning to attend the rally.

A number of arrests have highlighted the risk of white supremacist violence at the event. Among those arrested are alleged members of a neo-Nazi group, including men who reportedly discussed opening fire at the Richmond rally, and men who were charged with plotting to murder an antifascist couple in Georgia.

Recon indicates the following:

There will be a single line to enter the capital.

People will will be searched one at a time.

No food, water, or bathroom.

You will be funneled slowly one at a time.

Due to this bottle neck only a few dozen will be allowed into the capital.

Violators will be shot.

Survivors will be shot again.

Ye rebels disperse!

Go back into your pen or go home!

I read somewhere that they have 17 lines for people to get into to get searched prior to letting them in to Capitol Square. I saw the magnetometers.

I saw a row of port-a-potties outside the fences on the street. These are probably the ones provided by VCDL. I didn’t see any others.

Good luck to all of our brothers and sisters attending down there today. Keep your heads up and on a swivel. Keep your tempers in control and don't be baited into confrontation.

You've got my prayers that this turns out peaceful and successful in making these tyrants see the will and resolve of the people.

...

Assaulting a cop (in a political activism setting) earns you a few bruises and a couple of meaningless cites on your resume. Assaulting an ordinary gun owner might earn you a bullet, if you make the victim fear for their life. THAT is the reason, if anti fa actually doesn't show up to agitate.

Be careful, the republicans are turning on gun-owners now.

Not surprising. The media is going to be foaming at the mouth to paint gun owners in a negative light. They are trying to save their own ***es rather than do whats right. And i dont by for 1 second that Antifa wont be there. Im sure they will be, in plain clothes. Starting some ****. I hope it remains peaceful. No better way to crush the narrative.

If GOP is a party of the ex-most popular Governor in the universe and that lady lost in Maine we do not need to feed GOP. But we went over this alternative here on NES already. Professional politicians working against people who got them in the positions is an oxymoron. [horse]

This "reaching across the aisle" BS has no place in this century. Yes, once again, GOP in Virginia produced politically correct wishy washy statement which avoided US like a plaques. We do not need statement like that today!

Virginia's solicitor general told a judge Thursday that law enforcement had identified "credible evidence" armed out-of-state groups planned to come to the state with the possible intention of participating in a "violent insurrection."

Toby Heytens also suggested during his arguments in a lawsuit by gun advocates that challenged the weapons ban that the crowd could number in the tens of thousands. The Supreme Court upheld the weapons ban.

The Virginia State Police, the Virginia Capitol Police and the Richmond Police are all coordinating the event and have plans for a huge police presence at Monday's rally with both uniformed and plainclothes officers. Police plan to limit access to Capitol Square to only one entrance and have warned rallygoers they may have to wait hours to get past security screening.
