Great movie line:

You live here?
Yes.
Maybe you know what a zombie is.
When a person dies and is buried, seems there are certain voodoo priests who have the power to bring them back to life.
That’s horrible.
It’s worse than horrible because a zombie has no will of his own. You see them sometimes, walking around blindly with dead eyes, following orders, not knowing what they do, not caring.
You mean, like Democrats?

Richardson? You mean the guy that's been telling people since 1982 that he was drafted by the KC Athletics? Only he wasn't. He finally admitted it by saying that he reviewed his resume and "came to the conclusion" that he wasn't drafted by them.

I used to like him, but it turns out he's just another lying Bag of Poop.

There are quite a few non-Kali dems west of the Mississippi River that are really quite normal, intelligent people. A democrat from Ogden or SLC UT might appear rather conservative out here in the radically liberal northeast coast.

Guess it's kinda like the majority of republicans aren't not all born-again puritanical zealots out to establish an Evangelical Southern Baptist state church. OK. At least not outside southern Illinois, Ohio & Indiana they aren't the majority.

We know C-X, but ya gotta admit, they're far and few between. [wink]

Lynne, my only concern is this: I don't want to needlessly alienate those who are friendly to our cause. You need not be a Republican or Libertarian in order to be pro-gun.

I bet that some avid folks on this forum are Democrats.

Membership in a particular political party is not a proper litmus test for determining support of the 2nd Amendment.

We are united by our issue, not by our political affiliation. :|

I understand hun....honest, I do. It's the D's who are major Lib's that squeal the loudest, and those are the ones that most people are referring to. I know that we'd be in dire straights in this state if it wasn't for the likes of Peterson and a few others.

Not all Democrat's are Liberals.

Not all Liberal's are Anti-Gun.

The reasons most folks mistakenly believe that all Dem's are Liberals and Anti-Gun are simple. But, it just doesn't work both ways.

Almost all Liberals are Democrats.

Almost all strongly Anti-Gun people are Liberal Democrats.

Very well put, Nickle!

Thanks for your illuminating comments!

There's an old saying that points out that "when you lie down with dogs, you get fleas."

While all the caveats about not all D's being liberals or all liberals being anti-gun are totally true, they've really got only themselves to blame for the generalization. It's the same problem that rational, peacable Muslims have to face with the Islamofascists. Until the D's drop the consistently anti-RKBA planks from their party platform, and stop running anti-gun fools like Dukakis, Gore and Kerry, they have to expect that people will take those planks and candidates as being accurate representations of their positions and beliefs. Until major Muslim organizations begin to publically and vocally condemning Al Queda and the rest of the rag-head wingnuts, most people will assume that those crazies are representative of Islam. Neither generalization is true, but people like us aren't the reason they're there, nor are we the ones who can eliminate them.
