I looked at Smith & Wesson's QuickDraw but decided on the FAS1 safe due to the heavy steel construction, competitive price using the code and the type of lock on this. I feel the Simplex lock is faster to operate. I really like this and would recommend it to anyone who wants their handgun nearby, but more secure than in the nightstand.
