Granby Bow And Gun Club #2

Maybe have another member pick it up for you at a meeting. Though it sounds like problems with the gate is just the tip of the iceberg.

Don't know anyone else there unfortunately. Buddy was a member for 1.5 years, took his money and never got a single email or acknowledgement of membership. And couldn't ever get the gate code from BOD.
I really hope the club turns around and becomes better. But it's going on 2 years of "getting the electronic gate working"

Anyone in communication with club leadership want to forward this class?

As an update, I submitted my citizenship request paperwork to the club. 150880.png

They rescheduled the meeting to this Sunday, so I should be able to make it. But no guarantee they will have my ID card printed.

Id love to become a member and use the club. But like this and other threads pointed out sounds like leadership has some serious problems.
And the ongoing gate saga.

Wouldn’t be hard to go back to the cable and combo lock until the gate is fixed.

Like others I was on board during the lawsuit, attended a couple hearings, and donated. Didn't renew due to the current situation.

I ran up there about 2 months ago to shoot a mag or two from some new guns I got. Electric gate was wide open, this was a little while after it got hit by lightning, and the old cable and lock was in use.

Per a previous email January is the new "electric gate going into full affect" have to have info and picture submitted to use club without an rso present. So I may be giving one final chance.

I really like the physical layout of the club and that it's only 15 minutes down the road. I also invested in everything I need for the long range cert early last year. So I'm trying to hold out in hopes the club gets it's shit together.

Sounds like the situation is a little better. Yeah, great range layout and the new-ish pavilion is great. It was shut down by the town over total BS for a long time.

When I did the long range qualification, 15 shooters showed up and 7 of them were DQ'd and sent home. You really need a 1 MOA gun with 1 MOA ammo plus it is very helpful to have a scope set up for mils not MOA.

My understanding of how this range works is that even post-qualification, you can't just how up to the range during the week, by yourself, and shoot out to 1000 without an RO being there.

Is that correct?

I've been interested for a long time but all my free time is random work days, which makes things requiring supervision tricky.

Although this thread makes it sound not super easy to deal with regardless....

Email from a couple weeks ago. Seems to indicate rso's won't be a thing going forward. But who the f*** knows at this point
