Looking for the best storage options for grab and go situations where I’ve got 8 Magpul pmag 10 round magazines (5.56). Everything I’ve found for molle style is 30 round, and it seems like the 10 round magazines will just float around or fall out.

Thanks in advance.

The solution to your problem is to buy 20 or 30 rd mags (only half kidding)

seriously though I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a good carry option for the 10 round mags. Maybe a 20 round mag pouch with a spacer (or with a line sewn through the pouch to limit size to fit the 10 rounders?)

Not sure you will find anything commercial, 10 round mags are not very tactical. Either pay through the nose for pre-ban or put them at the bottom of some kind of pack.

You could also try 30 round limited to 10 round mags and use in normal pouches.

You could also take any 30-round set up and by simply sewing in a "pull ribbon" and loading 2 of the 10-round mags on top of it. when you need to grab the lower mag
pull up on the ribbon and the once-hidden bottom magazine is exposed like a pop-tart in a toaster...

I'd bought a not-too-thin nylon bag with a drawstring top at a yard sale
for nawthin ($1?) on general principle. Then I realized that I was
starting to pile up 10-round PMAGs on the one shelf in our safe;
and that the proper time to load them was before something needed shooting.

So I stacked the (now loaded) PMAGs very neatly in the bag,
and it's hanging on the door of our safe.

If I had to take the AR'n'ammo elsewhere,
I'd put the sack into a backpack.
(And I'd look mighty stupid having to dig into a pack
in order to reload).

But its primary purpose to to move the mags from
the Ready Ammo Locker to whatever place on the property I need it.
If I need the ammo around the house, I'm not gonna be standing around
the citadel shrugging into some tacticool load-bearing vest before moving out.

I probably ought to store one of the spare earmuffs C-style
around the sack - they'd sit there just fine...

FWIW, bandoliers will easily hold 30 round mags securely 40 round mags make them a tad top heavy but they're still secure.I like the five pocket ones. 200 rounds of grab & go goodness. 😀
Especially if you've got a binary trigger, AKA the poor man's happy switch.😯 😈

If it concerns you then I think the best option would be the Magpul 10/30 magazine, maybe buy five of them and save your receipt. By five magpul rebuild kits and “rebuild” a couple and leave the other ones for when you go out in public. Let’s face it if you run through even 1 never mind 2 10 round mags in public then the legality of anything isn’t going to mean sh!t.

For those who have the 10-round PMAGs, do you find them to be reliable?

For those who do not have a comment directly related to what my question is...
