Got to do some window shopping today...

With the wife on an errand in Weymouth, I got to do a little window shopping at the HTP. Saw two things that perked my interest. Do tell...

1. G43; all there. First one I've ever seen in the flesh. Looked OK, DUV44, save bubba had got to the stock and had carved concentric rings in the fore stock so it resembled the pump of a pump action shot gun. No sight hood or cleaning rod; $2250.

2. More in my ball park was a CZ27, 7.65, with Nazi acceptance. About 70-80% phosphate finish, nice, matching, slightly high perhaps at $595.

Sounds like a good price on the G43, with the CZ27 being way too high for my taste.

I've seen G43 stocks for sale.... Not cheap though. Sarco has an original used stock for sale for $900....

There's a repro on GB right now for $300.

The killer is, there's a company in Germany making reproductions of the whole gun (including a few others) that aren't being imported.

That's Dittrich, who went belly-up with his former company making the StG44, FG42 and MP38 as new-built semis.
Word is, that PTR was involved.
