Google Map of New England Gun Stores

If I could've found more of the FFLs on google there I would've added them!
Boy, are you gonna hate me.

I downloaded the .txt on Friday to mess with someone
(@drgrant [wave]; not gonna say how (although he knows)).
Jul'20 is the latest month (at this juncture) with full files available.
I just re-verified that Aug'20 still does not have files.
I presume it'll march forward about one month per month.

I have no experience wrangling the spreadsheet or .PDF versions.
However, while the .txt or .xlsx may be most convenient for your work,
for all I know the PDF explains things better.

Belay that; the PDF is just a 2-pager with some statistical totals.

ETA: Here's the search page, for posterity.

I meant say a google listing. I can't find a google listing for them. I'd be happy to add them if someone made a google listing for them because that is how I tag them on the map.

As for making a map of the mill, I don't have blueprints for it, nor do I even know where they are located.

Added NH

Still missing some in NH, including Gunrunners101

There are a couple of easy ways to scrub the FFL list to pick out the actual retailers, starting with filtering by FFL type, business name, deleting all the WalMarts.

Added gunrunners.

Also I found all of the gun shops on google maps. The other FFLs are not listed on google maps.

I had the feeling that folks would know some good criteria for filtering.

As for getting a set of spreadsheet rows into a Google Map,
there's probably smart ways to import (say) an XML file or data in JSON or some other format.
And one could export the spreadsheet rows into such formats,
or bulk edit them into the formats.

But at worst, one could turn them into a folder full of Google Maps queries
in Firefox bookmarks.html format, slurp it into a Firefox, and then Open All in Tabs.
Then you've got a dizzying array of individualized Google Maps,
within each one of which you could preserve the query focus in the
map you're building.
For me, that would be the Stuck on a Desert Island solution.

That sounds complicated!

awesome resource...

does Dicks still sell guns?

Add Cabelas/Bass Pro (as much as some hate them, they are generally on our side)

If it's easy, add the RI/NH shops... they are valuable for ammo/reloading/acc as well as transfers, long guns etc.

then someone needs to make this a sticky somewhere.
Just visited Dick's Sporting Goods in North Dartmouth. The whole hunting section has been replaced with fishing supplies. Firearm display behind counter now holds fishing rods. Not sure if they are all like this.

Added all 3 in New England

i appreciate the idea and effort, but....this has to be at least the 5th or 6th map of new england gun shops someone has made and posted since i've been on here. i'm sure some will find it useful, me, i already know where i want to go and very rarely travel far to get there. good job though!
