I also found it on MSN...http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/go...texas-restaurant-police/ar-BBAL3Gc?li=BBnb7Kz

Happy to see this making news, especially on liberal media. The shooter wasn't a licensed gun owner, and the Good Samaritan was. Go figure....

"In addition to the gun used to kill Perez, police say Jones had another semiautomatic pistol and two knives on him. The serial number on the second gun had been scratched off, and Jones did not have a gun license, police said."

"An armed "good Samaritan" — as the Arlington Police labeled him — happened to be eating at the restaurant with his wife. A concealed carry permit holder, he told her to get down on the ground and then shot Jones in the back."

It is a cool story indeed, but every time I see these types of threads - I can't help to think that it doesn't happen in MA and if it ever does - it'll be a very different story and that's a sad story of nowadays local reality.

he wouldn't be a good Samaritan in The Peoples Republic. Maura would brand him an evil gun owner taking the law into his own hands.

All these rich suburbia elitists need are a few "hot" burglaries and you'll see them beg for armed self-protection.

Not so surprised at the story, more the fact that it was reported in such a supportive fashion by the liberal media.

If this happened in MA, it would read: "Crazed lunatic opens fire on troubled man that society left behind, using assault style revolver" [rofl]

If anyone at my company drew a CCW and took down some active shooter whackjob this morning? They'd immediately be patted on the backs and hugged by co-workers and managers, lauded as a hero, and have lunch bought for him while people continue praising him until lunch ends.

Then this afternoon, a couple of suited twits from corporate would fly into Logan, arrive at our offices via Uber, and ask the driver if he can wait a few minutes to drive them back to the airport. Then they'd walk in and hand our newfound hero his final payroll check and his walking papers, and they'd stick around just long enough for security to escort the complete arsehole gun-toter completely off of their property.
Then, they'd get back into their Uber and speed off to the airport - after first checking to make sure all of their CorporateBullsh*tBlabber "Active Shooter Response" posters ("Run"... "Hide"..."Try to call 911"..."As a last resorty, throw things at the shooter" etc) were still affixed and prominently displayed on the walls throughout the building...."See ya next time, folks. Driver, back to the Southwest Airlines terminal please".

I'm NOT exaggerating - nor embellishing - in any way. This is EXACTLY how it would go down...here in their regional office in the beautiful CommonPuke of LiberChusetts.

Just sayin'

One of our executive VP's was telling us stories one evening over drinks. He grew up in Detroit and his first job was with an auto manufacturer. Union job.

My VP said he had an older fellow as a mentor and who been showing him around the plant. They were in the lunch line together when a guy cuts in line a few steps ahead of him. The guy he cut in front of pulled a knife and shived him, dead. People backed away but otherwise didn't get involved.

My VP was telling his mentor "We gotta do something! I saw everything!"
His mentor said "You didn't see anything!"
VP said "Wait! What?"
Mentor said "Do you know what the penalty is for murdering a guy?"
VP "umm, not sure, why?"
Mentor "It's the same as murdering two guys!"

I'm glad the guy had the opportunity to end the shooting sooner rather than later.

You missed one detail. The CEO would tell his armed protection detail "I know you don't shadow me around the corporate offices, but I think it's time for that to change".

I'm guessing this is the way it would go down at the company I work for as well....I carry concealed and I suspect at least another half dozen here do too. Most of the folks that work here are blue collar regular joes and janes. This company is owned by a company out of the UK...need I say more?
