I am not a professional shooter by any means, I'm just looking for a good range to take my shotgun to and soon a rifle. I would prefer a show up and shoot anytime type of club. In the past I used to go to Wayne's Weaponry in West Boylston, however that is closed, I loved being able to be outside and shoot. I have also shot at Mass Firearms and ON Target as well as Maynard Rod and Gun club. I'm not looking for the whole club get together experience at least yet. Any reccomendations would be awesome.
Thanks in advance!

What do you mean by shotgun? Are you looking to just pattern your shotgun and practice defensive shooting with your shotgun? Or are you interested in trap and skeet? Those require two very different types of ranges.

Just for fun, mostly targets. However, at that other range, I was able to go outside and put down pumpkins and all that fun stuff.

I’m at Maynard Rod & Gun. Good membership, good leadership, and nice facilities for the membership dues. They obviously have rules & regs but their pistol and rifle ranges are great. I do most of my shotgun shooting at Minute Man but the group at Maynard is damn fine too.

What didn’t jive with you at MRGC?

Then Harvard Sportsman's. I don't know about shooting junk like pumpkins as that's never been my thing, so you would have to check the rules on that. Wherever you end up, PLEASE clean up the range when shoot targets like that. There is nothing worse that members who leave trash on the range.

Confirmed- no pumpkins at maynard, but we have lots of great options for Shotgun. 2 Regular and wobble Skeet fields, 5 Stand, and 2 Trap Fields. We're always looking for new members, feel free to PM me if interested.

Its pricey but Minuteman Sportsmen's club is a place you can go and just shoot on your own (or with a friend). They have Trap(singles and doubles)/skeet/5 stand and a 16 station sporting clays course.
Its shotgun only so if you have other firearms you may need to have another membership or go to another club as a guest a few times a year.
