Good day to hit the Range

Man those are ugly guns, but I can see appeal when I see how short they are without NFA nonsense. My son wants me to buy one really bad.
It’s a fun gun I guess but I dont think I’d buy one, I hit steal silhouette from 100 yards very easily, but at 100 on paper my groups were about 6-7 inches but it was probably my poor shooting. I like my 16 AR’s better

Slapped on a PA red dot on the Dan Wesson 357 today. What a fun shooter.
Makes a good match with the Marlin 357.

Then met up with a friend who had a bunch of nice toys including this performance center 627 38 super 8 shot.

Got the DW 722 back from DW today. Reamed the chambers since they were UNDER sized causing sticky ejection. Refinished the 8 inch shroud, trigger job, and replaced firing pin and springs.

Then on the 357 I installed another endshake shim in front of the cylinder and backed out the alignment ball screw. This seems to have fixed the light strike issue in double action.

You got a little blood splatter on your HK. Might want to clean that up before the cops show up.

Looks like you had a good day at the club

HK Parts for the USP barrel weight (comp). It soaks up recoil just a tad. However, muzzle rise is certainly reduced. The P220 Sport comes with the comp. I just got it cause (to me) it's totally badass. It is extraordinarily accurate and a joy to shoot. Need to clean after every range trip though.

Hit the range late in the day for some reason - I guess I like torturing myself. f***ing freeeeeezing.
But I burned through a brick of 22lr in the SBR.
Then I got locked in at my club because the gate lock froze. Had a friend come and bail me out 20 min later....

Lesson learned, keep rubbing alcohol in the car during these cold times! Worked well to free the lock.

nice excuse. “Sorry honey, I can’t come home right away, I’m stuck at the gun club and can’t get out”

Always keep alcohol in the car. Being stranded without some is torture. ;)

At least you went last night, thermometer is showing -6 right now.

Good day to hit the range w/ @Sweeney ... 3 weeks ago when I was up visiting MA :p

He was trying to decide what to bring so I helped him along by saying the more recoil the better.

Sweeney, who wishes to remain a ghost [laugh] The kick doesn't seem as much when he's shooting it, I don't know why...

In the past, a .375 H&H had reigned supreme as the biggest recoil I've ever experienced but this took the cake lol

Unfortunately, the table and my 'short' comings didn't quite go so well together. I had a tough time shouldering it properly so here we are. I shot it twice 😍

It was truly a good day at the range. Sweeney is most definitely one of the most generous and awesome people I've ever met on NES or in life.

You mean to tell me @Sweeney didn’t let you shoot any of his Dan Wesson revolvers?…come on man😂

Great weather today to hit the range. Hate being cooped up in the house. Anyone else get out?

Blew through 300 rounds of 22lr out of the AR22 SBR, 100 rounds of 7.62x39 from the AR, and 150 rounds of 9mm out of the CZ SP-01 Shadow. Had the whole range to myself for the most part.

Funny thing happened when I went to retrieve my steel plate at 60 yards. Found one of my 9mm bullets laying in the snow. These are my 165 gr reloads so they’re super slow but I couldn’t believe how it just skidded across the snow unscathed. I figured it may have hit the first berm at 25 yards then bounced up over the 50 yard berm and skidded across. Dunno. May have been a really light charge of powder…oops

It stuck out like a sore thumb on the nice fresh snow.
