I've been offered an unmolested (not castrated after the old law) and described to be in 'best condition' .30 M1 Carbine.
Haven't seen pics of it yet but should have some soon.
Serial 2,235,xxx and the fragments of the manufacturer's name indicate a Standard Products, a pretty rare bird compared
to Inland and others of the big manufacturers.
In absence of pics for now, what would be a ballpark figure for this War Baby?

Here's the blue book values for it. Top row is for one that has had any arsenal rework done at all. Middle row is for a totally original type 1, bottom row is for totally original type 2. The columns don't really line up well but you see where the prices fall for the condition of each type.

Grading100%98%95%90%80%70%60%
Standard Products$800$650$495$415$370$325$295
Standard Products$2,000$1,625$1,250$1,050$925$800$750
Standard Products$1,750$1,425$1,050$875$775$650$600

Thanks! They're usually a bit cheaper than they are in the U.S.
By now I've got 3 pics not telling too much, other than the stock and ventilated handguard being replacements.
It comes w/ 2 mag pouches, several 15- and 30 rounders as well as a mag clip. I'll get pics of the accessories
next year[wink]
I've got a spare wooden handguard and might have to look for a stock with the been-there-done-this look.
Asking price is $475 +shipping. I'll make a decision on Friday.

What's there to think about? $475 sounds like a steal. If you pass, do pass on the info [wink]
Not too keen on the handguard and stock though.

$415 for a 90% arsenal rework????? I'll take a dozen!

Most mix-masters here go for about $600-$1000 depending on make (i.e. Winchester), condition, and accessories. Correct examples about $1500 and up. CMP auctions, crazy prices; two Underwood mix-masters there now, $800 and $1200, with more than a week to go.
