Just picked it up at North Shore Firearms. Can't wait to try!

They are beautiful, aren't they. I'm trying to save for a 1911 but am torn between the new Ruger or maybe spend a bit more for an SC E-Series. Decisions...decisions.

Lol. I've spent enough this month. What did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

Nice Andy I too, was also torn between this and the new Ruger 1911. I opt'd the cheaper route for my first 1911, and went Ruger.

I'm still waiting for the E series with the bobbed tail.

Yep, me too..... I think I'll be done with 1911's for a while....after I get a bobbed tail. S&W Retail Store had a couple bobbed tails in the show case last week, but already have an Uzi on layaway.. plus, I'm sure they are gone. I haven't shot my E yet, but I shot the 3" Pro... I love it and it's cake to CCW...

You got yourself a good shooter right there. Nice purchase.
Gotta love the 1911's and a G17 is just perfect.

nothing wrong with the Ruger 1911!

I plan on having the S&W bobbed. A friend of mine does custom gun work right here in saugus, and just ordered the jig to bobtail the frames!
I will post pics after it is done!

No, that is not the 9mm, it is the .45

as for the pro compact, I already have a custom Colt 3'

Oh ya.... now that is nice.... that's a beauty too!!

Started off as a colt new agent, but I didn't like the trench sight design, so I found a guy who had a colt defender and we traded slides. I then had it cerakoted in tungsten grey.

My cousin and I were trying to stay below the radar on Thanksgiving, sitting over in the corner. Someone would ask my wife where was her husband and she'd say " He's over in the corner with Ronnie talkin' guns". We talked before dinner, after dinner, after dessert and after the nap. At one point he started talking about his 1911's. I had to admit out of all my guns there wasn't even one 1911. He kind of pulled back a little bit as if I told him I had the ebola virus or something. I was ashamed. I've been telling people I'll get one when I grow up for years. I've been holding out for a Kimber although I was looking at a nice Colt Commander last month but it's gone. Between shifts Friday I stopped into Patriot Arms ( they're too damn close to my job ) and I was looking at the S&W Governer, it's so sweet. I handed it back to Jack and he handed me the S&W 1911E. I've handled and fired 1911's before but I think I knew right then and there I'd be walking out with this one. I had just enough cash ( I was supposed to by my wife a Sig P238 with most of that cash ) and I have enough left that get coffee and eat until Tuesday. Time to hit my wife's Quarter Jar. My 1911 is going under the tree. It looks just like yours andypieces. I hope to sneak out and fire it before I wrap it [smile].
