If you're heading in at some point and worried about parking my advice is drive to broadway station in south boston and take the red line to park st... Most of the area around the Tstation isn't resident only until 6pm.... Just make sure it isn't 2hr limit unless your only staying for a bit

I was there on my late lunch break for about 45 min. At that point I guess a lot of people were waiting in line to go in the State House. The guy in the stetson was well spoken as well as the young lady in the pink shirt that spoke after.
