Why? So that they have the right under Massachusetts law to arrest, to try, and to convict anyone publicly assembled or prepared to oppose them (or violent criminals, or antifa) in the public square.

Having a loaded magazine at the ready IS the punishable offence.
 
I am not here to bitch about GOAL’s interpretation of the new law, because glass houses, stones, etc., etc..

However I went to the new website today. It seems maybe a little better than the old one, but honestly nearly just as cluttered.

But here is my question @GOAL where has the member’s login database gone. You have two hyperlinked pages to third party websites, one hyperlink to “donate”, and one to “join.”

But where is the portal for existing member who had login credentials? If you go to the “join” page and input your prior email and password it is not recognized. If you select “forgot password” ,thinking maybe they want you to update your password, and then input your prior login email it is not recognized.

Are we expected to “join” as if we were not already members? If so some direction might be helpful.

I wanted to go in and see how much time remained on my family membership and add a couple years as I normal do in the last year.

I must be missing something here, because I find it hard to belief that the old login database has been abandoned.

Please advise.

I will otherwise try and phone the office when I have the opportunity.

The new site is up and running-ready to accept new and renewal memberships. CLICK HERE to view. As with any new software, there may be glitches that need to be worked out over the next few weeks, so we appreciate your patience. Please note, membership cards are not available at this time, but will be soon. If you need proof of membership, please save your confirmation email, or log into your account to print your invoice/receipt.



Existing members will still need to create a new account on this new system. On our website, click on the JOIN NOW button in the upper left hand corner, then click on CREATE ACCOUNT. You can use the same email as the previous system, but you may need to request a new password.

The reality is that there are gun owners and gun enthusiasts who care about their rights and the rights of other gun enthusiasts.

Most, many?, here are enthusiasts and care about their rights and are ACTIVELY involved in monitoring what is going on and keeping the rights we currently have. These are the ones that join GOAL and donate for the fight. Unfortunately, we are in the minority.


Gun owners, often referred to as FUDDS here, use gun seasonally to hunt and don’t even think much about them during the off season. Most don’t even know this legislation exists and you won’t hear anything from them until their hunting weapons are effected. Maybe this one will wake them up…..maybe not. I certainly hope that they wake up we need their support for the fight. Their indifference hurts us all.

The legislature slid this one through with little fanfare and reporting. What little reporting there was strictly on ghost guns and EBR’s.

IMO one of the best things that could happen for gun owners in this state is that on 10/24 the gun shops can no longer sell long guns. Maybe that will finally wake them up.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want it to happen but it would be a real attention getter and a wake up call before an injunction came down.

It is going to be an interesting few months.

None of us can do anything unless we VOTE the current politicians out. Not enough voters out there on our side. VOTE VOTE VOTE

The model for the future needs to be that of the aggressive, national, litigation-focused groups. The news that GOAL wants to take steps in that direction is admirable. The first step in that direction has been deemed to have been a great success by many, but it reminds me a lot of the Doolittle Raid... i.e., symbolically successful, but at what price?

GOAL can become a powerhouse force again that we will all be proud to support. But if GOAL can achieve that, it will all be on the litigation side.

For starters, every GOAL or "someone" should be reaching out to every known gun/sporting club in Mass and let them know what's happening, and encourage all there members to pass the word along. I was told a while back, some clubs didn't even know about the original bill of how this thing started. GP is right, the only "victory" in the short term is to help and promote candidates to could unseat a few of these commies.
