On a related note, anyone have a sight pusher for a Mosin I could use? I tried the hammer and punch method with no luck.

Someone helped me "push" my sights (glock) with a brass drift pin. works like a charm. specialty tools not necessary

Did you use a vise to hold the slide ? Reason why i wasnt going to try that method is because i dont have a vise or any type of clamping device.

I guess i can get a c-clamp from lowes for under $10.

You can buy one that will get the job done on Ebay for around $30. Made just for Glocks.
