EDIT - I think this whole black "renaming my kid whatever" trend is stupid, but let's be clear - plenty of stupid white people naming kids dumbass names, too. I've got this one family that I know. Since 2005, they haven't named one kid a normal name. Not one. Not just one couple. Multiple couples who are related (not to each other, but. . . ). Each baby is a one-up of the last baby's name. It's a freaking competition! Culminated in the grandbabies that were born this past Spring to one couple. The boy was some incredibly obscure old-testament name. The girl (I think it's a girl) got some flower-child name like flower-child or something.
