Gimme, Gimme, Gimme

Just to pick on one country mentioned in that article, what does Jamaica even produce other than Blue Mountain Coffee (which is now owned by the Japanese, I believe), bauxite (aluminum ore), and gorgeous beaches???

I mean, if they produced something that people wanted, it would be bought! Isn't that the basis of the free market economy?

Communism/Socialism at it's finest by who else? The UN, of course.

I did like what Musharrif (from Pakistan) said. Looks like the Paki's are taking their problem in their own hands, with some help, and turning things around. I respect that.

Bobsled team??

Ahem... do they actually export the beer or stout? If not, then that doesn't really contribute to the economy. and just how much does the bobsled team take in?

As for thugs & ganja... I'm assuming that what they bring in for money doesn't really go into the economy in Jamaica. Well... maybe the ganja does at second remove...
