55F, windy, 50 feet, overcast. The M17 is a quite the horse pistol. Shot 8 moons of WWB, all double action. Was dropping them in at the end, but I was getting tired and the recoil was bringing the revolver up to my head.
Took the 1915 Colt .380 out for a second try. 70F, humid, overcast, no wind. 40 feet, 50 round box of steel cased dirty Tula. No problems and shot well.
The Tula rates 1010 fps, and calculates to 206 ft/lbs.
Nice shooting for the Colt. I have a 1903 .32 that my MSgt. great uncle carried in WWII Philippines. Good thing it's a family heirloom, because it shoots like crap!
