Garland for AG

Killing rural homesteaders half a world away didn't do anything for our country, what did you do with 50+ years of political power and prosperity given to you by your parents? Grant us open borders, porn, drugs everywhere, sodomites having more rights than anyone else, abortion and more abortion. That is all on you, all of it. You had the political power to stop all of it and just let it burn. 1 out 3 people in my generation were aborted by you sickos that is on your generation. You were given the greatest most free and prosperous country ever and you shat on it and destroyed it. It wasn't the hippies it was you not standing up to the hippies. Gotta pick your battles man say the boomers who then picked zero battles. Well now we don't have a choice and have to fight them all including making sure you boomers know what you destroyed. Now take your 'betes meds and go polish the plastic chrome on your boomer truck and think about what you did.
You don't get off that easy pal. Answer the question, don't hide from it. What have you done for our country, or do you just wine because it's not all done for you? What we have here in you, i'm sure is just another, self entitled whiner, who wants everything done for him. Shame on you.

Hey! Easy on the porn and sodomites... sheesh

The 'don't trust anyone over thirty' generation is now asking for elder respect. Boomers have zero self awareness. Respect for elders is not arbitrary. Call to respect elders is pathetic coming from a boomer, boomers invented the old age home industry to toss your elders in while not having enough kids to keep families self sufficient. Another way boomers weakened the country. Heard a Dr recently surmising that old people aren't respected anymore because modern old people are decrepit. Used to be old people still worked and moved and got things done, of course they weren't as strong as when they were young but they were miles healthier than current old boomers. You will get the respect you deserve not arbitrary respect because you are old.
LMAO. If we had not createded more nursing homes, you'd be whining, that you have no place to take care of you. You're just what the world needs more of are'nt you. Another self entitled millenial. Would you like some cheese with your whine! Get a life!

Homesteaders! Are you crazy! Ho Chi Minh is going to be pissed to find that you call the NVA/North Vietnamese Army, homesteaders. You're very good at calling boomers all sorts of names from the safety of your mom's basement. I'm wondering how good you are at it face to face. Oh wait. You've never said those things, face to face, to a boomer, veteran have you! Of course you haven't.

I'm thinking even TJ wouldn't make you guys happy. LOL

Garland sucks
Barr sucks
Sessions sucks

Funny the last 2 listed were picked by "your man." How does that happen?????
Because Trump at times was a clown and too deferential to "conventional authority" etc. Someone convinced him that sucking for mainstream known people would be a benefit for him.....

That and don't forget he was not a political insider. The hand-selected establishment presidents that we've had in my lifetime were all insiders with long histories in various aspects of the govt. I'm neither angry nor surprised at the turnover in his cabinet. Why would he ever understand the likes of a McMaster and Mattis being globalist politicians rather than apolitcal military men? For all of his cringe-worthy moments, he still gets massive latitude with me and has done a lot in his 4 years. More than I would have expected.

Little fact: The President has to nominate someone that the Senate swamp will confirm or he will be wasting his time. Does anyone really think that if Trump nominated someone he could totally trust that the person would have been confirmed?

Probably not but another little fact to consider is that political loyalty is a valid reason both parties conduct administrative purges when executive control switches from one to the other. Trump didn't have lists of capable and willing people ready to nominate for AG and the many other positions in the Federal government like a regular party candidate would and therefore did not conduct that purge, leaving enemy partisans in charge. Those he could get for the most part brought their own agendas rather than any shared ideological vision. It hamstrung Trump throughout his entire term in office.

This lack of a bureaucratic army to handle and manage the reigns of the government behemoth is I believe the biggest weakness of any independent candidate. Without it the system cannot be controlled and the political hold overs will actively work against them.

Not exactly. The "purges" are automatic, no need to conduct them. Those jobs are gone when the administration changes. There are about 4,000 positions the incoming president needs to fill. The others are career positions for which "purging" is difficult. This balance of political vs. career jobs was struck because prior to that they were all political, which led to patronage politics and the government functionality sucked when there was no carryover and everyone appointed was a friend of a friend with no concerns for capability.

President Trump could have filled the positions if he wished - he was the candidate of the Republican party, which actually does have lists of "capable and willing" people as you put it. There is actually a legally mandated transition period which allows these jobs to be filled and begin operating before the President takes power. Chris Christie was President Trump's transition team manager at that time. He tried to have many of the positions filled, but was blocked by President Trump because it would cost too much campaign money. President Trump ultimately decided he didn't want to fill 2,000 of these positions, believing them to be unnecessary.

That was interesting but are we talking about the same thing? I'm talking about government positions like Attorney General. AFAIK he's not paid with campaign money.

Sonny I was shoveling 26 tons of coal a day for my uncles coal and oil company when I was a very young teenager and was in and out of the Marine Corps after pounding through the jungle, on the DMZ , in Nam, before my 21st birthday. I wasn't even old enough to buy a beer when I was discharged, so don't tell me I don't know hard work. What have you done besides push keys on your keyboard in mommies basement and complain about others?

Thanks for the heads up Mike. You guys are pretty good at that mod stuff. You'd think guys like that would have more quality things to do with time than to make themselves angry at the keyboard.

There are no surprises in that list...this is the reason I took my name off the Republican voting rolls...I am now a proud independent.
