This show proves the old adage, "it's not how you start, it's how you finish."

Unfortunately a big part of its legacy will be how badly it jumped the shark in the final two seasons.

She does have the Mad King's blood after all. I think Arya offs her in the final and Jon takes the throne. You know, because he never wanted it.

Completely unsatisfied with Cersie's death, if she is in fact dead.

She did say that she was headed to kings landing to kill the queen, now it happens to be the new queen.

Dany still has a pretty powerful dragon. She can still roast what's left of the Starks (and Jon Snow assuming he isn't resistant to fire like Dany is) to protect her title as queen and even fly off and roast Winterfell itself and be back in time for dinner.

Clegane was probably the character I most identify with.

In the books, Jon was resistant to fire. When he was killed by the Night's Watch, burning his body to prevent him from becoming a Night Walker is what brought him back, not the Red Woman. It is the first hint we have that Jon was a Targaryen.

what book has them bringing him back? His character gets stabbed at the ends of A Dance of Dragons. Was this mentioned in one of the chapters released by GRRM?

Hints about Jon's lineage were being dropped back in book 1.

The fight in the pub was the best one of the series I think.

i think you're confusing a fan theory with what's actually happened so far in the books. Book 5 ends with him stabbed.

He also burns the shit out of his hand fighting a wight at Castle Black in Book 1, so he's probably not resistant to fire.

The body count picture made me think of something.

Was there any point to shoehorning Bronn back into the fold? Seems like a weak fan service move.

Kinda funny looking back at all the fan theories. Some are good like Jon Snow is a Targaryen. While most are dumb as hell: Sirio Forel is alive and is the faceless man, Jamie is going back to Kings Landing to kill Cersie, dragon glass can't kill wights, Tyrion is a Targaryen, Bran is the night king. LOL.

given Jaime's character development and his whole path to redemption; going back to kill Cersei was the logical thing to do. Especially given that he learned she bribed Bronn with a castle to kill him. And then when you factor in the prophecy, it even added more fuel to that fire. We will find out for sure if GRRM finishes the books, but i think D&D fumbled this arc big time.

Am I the only one wondering why Misandrae, instead of saying drakarys, should have grabbed Cersai and jumped off the rampart?

But then would the soldiers manning the ballistas, and archers retaliate and unleash hell on Dany, Tyrion, The Unsullied, etc?

They were standing in the open with no cover or protection, Drogon was some distance away and wouldn't be able to reach him
    in time.

All of them would have been slaughtered.

Shouldn’t have been lined up that close in the first place but it wouldn’t have been “visually pleasing” if it showed them a mile away from the city walls.

the theory of Sirio Forel being alive wasn't dumb, it just didn't pan out. Really made no sense that the "first sword of Braavos" was killed by scrubs/pussies like Meryn Trant and a few foot soldiers.
