Saturday: 15-20 turkeys, several of them huge gobblers, in the farm behind my house and 10 yards in front of my ground blind.

Fortunately, I used THE ULTIMATE TURKEY DISPERSAL MACHINERATOR and they are gone now. I can say with full certainty that thanks to me buying a turkey permit last night, the area is now turkey free. I even spent 4 hours today standing guard, making sure none of them were around.

Grrr... c'mon, it's zone 10 and they don't have email. How did they know the season started today?!?!

I just found out Saturday that turkey was open through Nov 3rd in the eastern zones. Damnit. I'm going to get up early before work one day this week and go out. I must bag myself a turkey!! I've seen females all over the place. I just need to figure out how to lure them away from roads and houses.
